Advanced Building Services Plans High Tech Expansion in Concordia Parish
VIDALIA, LOUISIANA (September 13, 2011) - Advanced Building Services (ABS), manufacturer of custom oilfield buildings, announced the securement of 13 acres in Vidalia Industrial Park in Louisiana's Concordia Parish, where it plans to add a computerized robotic welding and shearing facility, to complement its operations currently located on nearby Highway 15.
ABS employs 14 people at its current facility and spends $2-3 million in the local economy on raw materials now, according to Allen Stuart, owner of the company. There is currently a $3.5 million construction backlog between ABS and its sister company, Oilfield Instrumentation. “We are very enthusiastic about this opportunity to add economic benefits to our local community while simultaneously growing our company,” said Stuart.
Advanced Building Services’ original manufacturing facility in Concordia Parish opened in 2007, where it fabricates custom well-site accommodation buildings and hazardous environment labs for major oil companies.
