OI and ABs Open Service Facility in Greensburg, PA
GREENSBURG, PA (June 1, 2013) – Oilfield Instrumentation and Advanced Building Services recently opened a combined service center in Greensburg, PA. The depot is providing custom oilfield buildings, trucking, and well-site services to drilling companies in the region.
Oilfield Instrumentation President Peyton Reddick commented on the opening:
“Oilfield Instrumentation is pleased to have opened this first facility for Marcellus Shale operators. Our investment signifies our confidence in the future of directional drilling in the region through operators like Baker Hughes and Scientific Drilling,” Reddick said.
OI and ABS have invested millions outfitting the Greensburg depot with the equipment needed to service production sites by operators. The facility is home to four trucks on four acres and will facilitate operators’ environmentally friendly drilling techniques that can locate on one acre and drill beneath ground in a 10-acre radius. The OI-ABS service depot investment also will create 6-8 new jobs in the Greensburg area.
“We want the people of Greensburg to know that Oilfield Instrumentation and Advanced Building Services are community-oriented employers,” Reddick said. “We have made investments in real estate, equipment inventory and housing in the area in line with our commitment to be a best-in-class organization dedicated to high standards of operation. We create permanent jobs that benefit the communities we locate in, and we stay committed.”
